My family's go to place for brunch dim sum and for large dinners! Everything is very flavorful and well presented, just the right amount of savory. Everything is generously seasoned. Wait and host staff were very prompt and quick. Food comes out very fast! Didn't even have to wait 10 mins before dishes kept coming from the kitchen Parking is really tough especially during peak brunch and dinner time, but you can park in the Home Depot lot down the block!

Good food and I would come back when I'm in the Peninsula. Everything was great but the hot and sour soup was meh.

We came for dim sum. Arrived right at 10:50 and we were seated right away. At 11, the restaurant was packed with people waiting out the door! Service was so fast. Dim sum was delicious. Our favorite was the salted egg yolk pumpkin (my favorite dish!). A great place to gather for casual dim sum or a nicer occasion!

Came here on at 1pm and there's still a line though the line moved more quickly with smaller parties. Our party of 4 got lucky and was seated right after. We ordered the beef brisket noodle soup, the chicken feet, bean curd roll with fillings and rice rolls. The food overall was good and performed as expected. I did not like the turnip cake (square shaped ones) they tasted bland and have a "starchy" aftertaste. The better dim sum we liked was the bean curd roll with fillings.

Came here for a celebratory birthday dinner. We arrived around 630pm and restaurant was already getting crowded. Fortunately they had an available table and we were seated right away. The table next to us was also celebrating a birthday. The servers were able to store the cake in the fridge while we eat. Overall food was good and service was pretty decent/attentive for a Chinese restaurant. Dishes came quickly and piping hot. I did notice the prices for the dishes began from $20 up, which makes this place priced higher than other places I've been to. One of the dishes we ordered was not available (salted egg yolk frog legs) so we changed it to black bean clams. There was also a mishap on one of the dishes. We ordered the shrimp stuffed tofu with tender greens but got a platter of salt and pepper fries tofu cubes. It turns out the manager had inputted the wrong order and they were able to quickly rectify it. After we finish eating, the server brought out our cake as well as paper plates and forks. We shared a large slice of our cake with him. Overall, it's a successful bday dinner with the family.

We were surprised to see this restaurant with a queue of people during lunch time 2 weekends ago, as we were not impressed with its dim sum when we were there 2 years ago so we never went back. We decided to try it this past Sunday as a queue of people willing to wait for a table when there are so many eateries nearby usually means that the food is good. We ordered 8 items and every item was excellent except for the sticky rice with preserved meat as we had better ones at other dim sum restaurants such as Koi Palace in Daly City. Their steamed taro cake is probably the best comparing to the best dim sum restaurants in San Francisco and the peninsula that we have tried. The service was good and efficient. We asked one of the waiters who confirmed that there was an ownership change about a year and a half ago including a change of chef, which explained the much better quality that we had this time relative to 2 years ago.

I recently dined at Ming Yuan with my wife's family, who were on a layover at SFO, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! Located just 15 minutes away from the airport, it's the perfect spot for a quick yet memorable meal. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it an ideal setting for a relaxing family dinner. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations. The food at Ming Yuan is simply outstanding. Every dish we tried was flavorful, beautifully presented, and made with the freshest ingredients. The Peking duck was crispy and succulent, and the dim sum selection was delightful, with each bite bursting with authentic flavors. The mapo tofu was a standout, with just the right amount of spice and a wonderfully rich sauce. One of the highlights of our meal was the excellent attention to detail and the care taken in preparing each dish. The portion sizes were generous, and everything was served piping hot. The restaurant also offers a great selection of teas and beverages to complement the meal. Overall, Ming Yuan exceeded our expectations in every way. It's clear that the chefs and staff take great pride in their work, and it truly shows. Whether you're looking for a casual dinner or a special occasion, Ming Yuan is the place to go. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delicious menu!

I actually likes this little spot more than Koi Palace for dim sum. It's less expensive and the quality and taste is way better. I personally find this place foods are more fresh and juicy like the Sui Mai. Their service is decent but they are a bit busy too on a Sunday. I didn't take much pictures here but if you can't read Chinese, the Milky Bun in the menu is the salted egg yolk lava bun. lol they even looked different
